This colour wheel is a great resource for introducing students to colour theory!

Plastercine Relief

Materials:

• Plastercine
• Bristol Board Square
• Time and Patience!

Method:

I was inspired to do something that involves my Filipino heritage. This work is inspired by Fernando Amorsolo’s “Palay Maiden”. This piece uses the primary colours also seen in the Pilipino flag. My greatest challenge for this piece was creating all the brown tones as there was no brown plastercine provided. I used different contrasting colours on the wheel to create these various complex browns.
